Location: Market Harborough, Leicestershire Pay Rate: £14.44 per hour Hours: 38.5 hours per week Shift: 07:00–19:00 Job Description We are currently recruiting for a Permanent Chef to join a care home in Market Harborough.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals while maintaining excellent food hygiene and safety standards in a caring environment.
Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook nutritious, well-balanced meals for residents.
Cater for individual dietary requirements, allergies and special diets.
Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen safety.
Ensure food is stored, prepared and handled safely in line with food safety regulations.
Manage food stock, minimise waste and assist with stock control.
Work effectively as part of the kitchen team to ensure meals are served on time.
Create a welcoming dining experience for residents.
Requirements Previous experience as a Chef or Cook is essential.
Knowledge of food hygiene and safe food handling practices.
Ability to cater for different dietary needs and preferences.
Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
A caring, patient and reliable approach.
Ability to work a rolling rota, including weekends.
Working Hours & Rota The role offers 38.5 hours per week , working 12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:00 The rolling rota alternates between: Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday.
Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Pay & Benefits £14.44 per hour.
