Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Lead Analyst – Delivery Excellence to drive delivery governance, software quality, process compliance, and continuous improvement across development projects.

The role will work closely with Project Managers (PMs), Senior Project Managers (SPMs), Account/Delivery Managers (ADMs), Delivery Leadership, and Quality teams to ensure effective adoption of SDLC practices, CMMI processes, CAPA, SEPG initiatives, and AI-enabled engineering practices.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in development projects, SDLC governance, SQA, CMMI Level 3 (Development), process improvement, risk management, causal analysis, and AI tools , along with excellent facilitation and stakeholder-management skills.

Key Responsibilities.

Delivery Excellence & Governance

• Facilitate delivery excellence initiatives across software development projects and ensure sustained adherence to the Quality Management System (QMS) .
• Conduct Software Quality Assurance (SQA) reviews and assess project compliance with defined processes, standards, and delivery models.
• Provide guidance to project teams on relevant software engineering, SDLC, and project management practices to achieve optimal delivery outcomes.
• Participate in project team meetings, governance forums, senior management reviews, and project causal analysis meetings.
• Ensure a \"Zero Surprises\" delivery environment by proactively identifying risks, issues, process gaps, and early warning indicators.
• Escalate critical risks and concerns to Delivery and Delivery Excellence leadership with actionable recommendations.
• Work closely with PMs, SPMs, and ADMs to ensure the appropriate delivery and engagement models are implemented.

QMS, CMMI & Process Excellence

• Drive continued sustenance and improvement of the QMS across development engagements.
• Conduct QMS/process training for project teams and delivery stakeholders.
• Review, update, and author assigned process documents, Change Requests (CRs), guidelines, and standards .
• Ensure formal configuration management and version control of QMS and related organizational documents.
• Support CMMI Level 3 – Development practices and ensure effective implementation across projects.
• Contribute to SEPG (Software Engineering Process Group) initiatives and organizational process improvement.
• Drive CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) activities and track closure of identified issues.
• Ensure organizational best practices are captured, documented, institutionalized, and shared across teams.

Metrics, Analytics & Risk Management

• Collect, analyze, validate, and report project delivery and quality metrics .
• Identify trends, deviations, recurring issues, and improvement opportunities through data analysis.
• Mentor PMs on risk identification, metrics analysis, root-cause analysis, and improvement planning .
• Articulate contractual, delivery, quality, and process risks and work with senior management to define mitigation strategies.
• Follow up with project teams to ensure timely closure of action items arising from CSAT, escalations, complaints, audits, and SQA reviews .

Innovation & AI Enablement

• Participate in organizational innovation programs as an Innovation Facilitator for delivery and enabling functions.
• Facilitate ideation and brainstorming sessions to identify opportunities for delivery improvement.
• Promote adoption of AI tools and Generative AI to improve software engineering, quality, documentation, analytics, and delivery processes.
• Identify and evaluate AI-enabled opportunities across the SDLC , including requirements, development, testing, documentation, quality reviews, and project governance.
• Support teams in adopting relevant AI tools while ensuring appropriate governance, quality, security, and process compliance.

Continuous Improvement & Stakeholder Management

• Drive delivery excellence and process improvement initiatives for the respective business unit.
• Proactively identify issues and provide practical, data-driven solutions.
• Facilitate discussions across project, quality, delivery, and leadership teams.
• Mentor and coach project managers and delivery teams on quality, process adherence, risk management, and innovation.
• Respond effectively to immediate and urgent delivery/governance requirements.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and influence teams toward process and delivery excellence.

Mandatory Skills

• 10–12 years of experience in Delivery Excellence, Quality Assurance, Software Engineering, PMO, Process Excellence, or similar roles.
• Strong experience in software development projects and end-to-end SDLC .
• Hands-on experience with CMMI Level 3 – Development practices.
• Strong knowledge of SQA, QMS, CAPA, SEPG, audits, process compliance, and continuous improvement .
• Experience conducting SQA/process reviews and project governance reviews.
• Strong understanding of risk management, causal analysis/RCA, metrics, and corrective/preventive actions .
• Experience working closely with PMs, SPMs, ADMs, Delivery Leaders, and senior management .
• Exposure to AI/Gen AI tools for software development and delivery excellence .
• Strong facilitation, communication, presentation, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to proactively identify risks/issues and recommend actionable solutions .

Good to Have

• CMMI-related certification/training.
• ISO/Quality Management certifications.
• PMP / PRINCE2 / Agile certification.
• Six Sigma / Process Excellence certification.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted SDLC and Gen AI tools .
• Experience with engineering metrics, dashboards, and data analytics.
• Experience in organizational-level SEPG and process transformation initiatives.
