Tax Preparer Level 2 – Irvine, CA (In-Office) Active CTEC Registration & PTIN Required | Business Tax Experience Required Are you an experienced Tax Preparer who can confidently manage everything from straightforward W-2 filings to complex business returns and amendments? Guardian Tax is seeking a highly skilled Tax Professional with expertise in individual and business tax preparation. This is a full-time, permanent position — not seasonal. We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, compliance-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. What You’ll Be Doing Preparing individual tax returns (W-2, 1099, Schedule C, itemized, etc.) Handling amended returns (1040X and related corrections) Preparing business tax returns including: S-Corps (1120S) C-Corps (1120) Partnerships (1065) Reviewing financials and ensuring accuracy & compliance Communicating with clients regarding documentation and tax positions Working collaboratively with our internal teams Qualifications Active California CTEC Registration Valid PTIN Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience preparing business tax returns Strong knowledge of federal and California tax laws Experience handling amended and complex tax filings Ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment Professional demeanor with strong attention to detail What Sets You Apart Experience working in a high-volume tax office Strong understanding of compliance and documentation standards Ability to identify tax savings opportunities for clients Clear communication skills and client confidence Compensation Competitive hourly (based on experience) Performance-based bonuses available Position Type: Full-Time Location: In-Office | Irvine, CA Why Join Guardian Tax?
