Billing and Collections Specialist

Robert Half is partnering with a well-established project-based organization to identify a Billing & Collections Specialist. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys owning the billing process from start to finish, working closely with project teams, and managing client accounts in a fast-paced environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesManage the monthly billing cycle from invoice creation through approval and distributionPrepare, review, and process customer invoices with a high degree of accuracyHandle change orders and support project-based billing activitiesMonitor accounts receivable balances and perform collection follow-up as neededMaintain billing documentation and ensure all required approvals are obtainedPartner with Project Managers to support reporting, billing inquiries, and project financial trackingTrack and obtain required subcontractor documentation, including lien waiversAssist with audit requests and provide supporting documentation as neededReconcile billing data and maintain organized records for compliance purposes
Qualifications3+ years of billing, accounts receivable, or collections experienceStrong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and working with large data setsExperience managing high-volume customer accounts and billing activityExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to prioritize multiple deadlines and work collaboratively across departmentsExperience with Sage 300 is a plusConstruction, project-based, engineering, architecture, or professional services industry experience is highly preferred
