Materials And Logistics Manager

We are seeking an experienced manufacturing logistics professional to manage shipping, receiving, warehousing, inventory, and freight operations, with a strong focus on international dangerous goods and hazardous materials shipping .

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily shipping, receiving, warehouse, and inventory operations.
• Coordinate international shipments, including dangerous goods and hazardous materials.
• Prepare and verify hazardous-material shipping documentation and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Manage freight carriers, shipping costs, claims, and logistics activities.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP systems.
• Supervise warehouse personnel and ensure safe, efficient operations.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of logistics experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience shipping dangerous goods and hazardous materials internationally .
• Valid IMDG and/or IATA certification for dangerous goods shipping.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehousing, shipping, and receiving.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft 365 skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct warehouse employee supervision experience.
• Experience working with a unionized workforce.
• Freight carrier management, freight cost analysis, and claims experience.

Important: General warehouse experience or transportation coordination alone is not sufficient.
