Job Title: Python Data Automation EngineerPosition Type: Long Term ContractLocation: Fort Mill, SC
Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python and PyTest to ensure the quality of Data productsWork closely with product and engineering teams to understand features develop and automate test cases and improve product qualityPerform database testing to validate data integrity and accuracyCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and develop test plansExecute automated test cases and analyze results to identify defects and ensure product qualityIntegrate automated tests into the CICD pipeline to ensure continuous testingDocument test cases test results and defects in a clear and concise mannerParticipate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve the quality of the codebaseStay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in test automation AI assisted testing and database testingHands on knowledge of cloud providers such as AWS Azure or GCP including services like EC2 S3 RDS Lambda etcCreate and maintain test data and test environmentsTroubleshoot and debug issues in test scripts frameworks and test environmentsMentor and train junior team members on automation framework development and testing best practicesCollaborate with developers to ensure testability of code and sufficient automation coverageWrite and execute complex SQL queries Joins Rank Union CTEs Window Functions etc to validate data integrity and accuracyDevelop and maintain database testing scripts and toolsCollaborate with database administrators to resolve database related issuesWork within Agile teams to deliver high quality database solutionsParticipate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning daily standups and retrospectivesLeverage AI tools such as GitHub Copilot ChatGPT Cursor or similar technologies to accelerate framework development generate test scenarios improve code quality and enhance automation productivity

Required Skills and QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related fieldProven experience with Varicent products and their implementationStrong proficiency in Python programming PyTest and automation framework developmentExperience building scalable and maintainable automation frameworksExperience with database testing including writing and executing complex SQL queriesFamiliarity with CICD tools and processes eg Jenkins GitHub ActionsExperience with API automation testingAbility to effectively utilize AI assisted development tools to improve automation efficiency and framework xzbcwsv developmentExcellent problemsolving skills and attention to detailStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExperience working in agile environments and familiarity with Agile methodologies
