About the Opportunity
We are seeking an Investment Banking Experienced Analyst to join a growing middle-market investment banking platform in New York City. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of full-time investment banking experience and a strong foundation in financial modeling, valuation, M&A, and transaction execution.
Candidates with experience at leading middle-market investment banks and advisory firms, including Kroll, PCE, Deloitte, and other comparable firms, will be strongly considered.This is an opportunity for an Analyst to gain significant transaction exposure while working closely with senior bankers and middle-market business owners throughout the M&A and capital-raising process.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport execution of M&A, capital raising, and other strategic advisory transactionsBuild and maintain detailed financial models, including:Financial projectionsDiscounted cash flow analysesTransaction and valuation analysesSources & usesSensitivity and scenario analysesConduct company, industry, and market research to support transaction execution and business developmentPrepare and update Confidential Information Memoranda (CIMs), management presentations, pitch books, teasers, and other marketing materialsAssist with valuation analyses and comparable company and precedent transaction researchSupport senior bankers in managing transaction processes from initial engagement through closingParticipate in due diligence processes and coordinate information requests with clients, buyers, lenders, attorneys, accountants, and other transaction professionalsAnalyze financial statements and identify key business and transaction considerationsAssist with buyer identification, marketing processes, and management presentationsCommunicate directly with clients and other transaction counterparties as responsibilities increaseProvide analytical and execution support across multiple transactions simultaneouslyPreferred Qualifications1+ year of full-time investment banking experienceExperience at a middle-market investment bank or advisory firm preferredStrong financial modeling and valuation skillsDemonstrated understanding of M&A transaction processesExcellent financial statement analysis skillsStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPointAbility to create high-quality client-facing presentations and written materialsStrong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
