  • Create and review one-lines, three-lines, power and control schematics, wiring diagrams, point-to-points and layouts.
  • Own technical BOM accuracy for assigned jobs, including components, quantities, ratings and job-specific requirements.
  • Support component selection for breakers, starters, relays, CTs, PTs, CPTs, test switches, lockout relays, meters and protective devices.
  • Support control and protection schemes including trip/close circuits, relay circuits, metering, interlocking, transfer schemes and alarms.
  • Lead technical review of vendor construction drawings and engineered product submittals against approved scope and company standards.
  • Provide design-intent support to Production, Wiring, Testing, QA and Project Management, including change order and warranty reviews.
  • Help develop design standards, typical control schemes, BOM checklists and drawing review checklists to reduce rework.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in electrical design with power distribution equipment, switchgear, MCCs, industrial controls, control panels or similar.
  • Ability to read and produce one-lines, three-lines, control schematics, wiring diagrams, layouts and BOMs.
  • Strong understanding of electrical components including circuit breakers, starters, relays, CTs, PTs, CPTs and protective devices.
  • Experience with medium-voltage metal-clad switchgear, LV switchgear, MVMCCs or LVMCCs is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with IEEE, ANSI, UL, NEMA and NEC requirements related to switchgear and motor control equipment.
  • Experience creating wiring diagrams or point-to-points used directly by a shop floor.
  • Experience with an ERP/MRP system is advantageous.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to work hands‑on with shop personnel to resolve technical questions.

There is a genuine opportunity for someone to join a growing team and business. Great pipeline of projects and a high performing, yet flexible, working environment.
