Warehouse Material Handler IIIPrimarily responsible for the support of the DC by efficiently sorting, scanning, staging, wrapping merchandise, and other duties as assigned within the warehouse. Department Material Handler III also checks merchandise and ensures the product is loaded and checked in the proper delivery sequence by customer stop code.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Understand how to read truck loading forecast summarySet up a truck run by truck load forecast summaryIdentify and sort by customer stop codeOperate a handheld scannerStack pallets appropriately to avoid customer service issuesLoad and secure productObtaining power equipment certifications; electric power jack, walker/rider, and forkliftMeet and exceed quality and production standardsAbility to take direction from managementCommunicate any truck run changes with transportationAdheres to DC housekeeping guidelinesEnsures Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all timesPerform all job duties in accordance with OSHA standards and adhere to all policies, rules, regulations and proceduresPerforms all other tasks and duties as assignedRequirements and Qualifications:High School diploma preferredKnowledge and experience with warehouse management systems, or other platformsExcellent attendance recordMust be willing and able to work overtimeGood comprehension and organizational skillsAbility to interact effectively with other departments and all levels of managementAbility to maintain records accurately and demonstrate problem solving skillsDemonstrated ability to prioritize work and to meet deadlinesMust be a team player with a can-do attitudePower Equipment certification a plusPhysical Requirements:Must have the ability to meet physical assessment requirements for this positionAbility to lift up to 50lbs frequently, 75lbs rarely, and push/pull up to 90lbsAbility to complete the physical assessment at the Material Handler III levelWe're always looking for positive, energetic, and upbeat people to join our team.
