Job Description

Job Summary

The Time & Attendance Administrator is responsible for monitoring employee attendance, identifying attendance concerns, and holding employees accountable in accordance with company policies and operational requirements. This role is embedded within Operations and directly supports workforce reliability, operational efficiency, and compliance by driving accountability, enforcing attendance standards, and administering corrective action. This role partners closely with Human Resources to ensure consistent application of policies and employee relations practices.

Key responsibilities

Attendance Accountability, Coaching & Corrective Action

  • Monitor attendance patterns, including absences, tardiness, missed punches, and no-call/no-shows
  • Coach employees on attendance expectations and operational impact
  • Conduct meetings to address attendance issues and define expectations
  • Document all coaching, corrective action, and follow-ups
  • Administer progressive discipline aligned with company policy

Timekeeping, Attendance Review & Reporting

  • Generate attendance and compliance reports for Operations leadership
  • Identify trends, discrepancies, and repeat issues
  • Escalate concerns as needed to leadership
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of attendance records

Employee Relations Support

  • Provide guidance on policies and attendance expectations
  • Assist with employee relations matters and investigations
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in attendance, HR, or operations coordination investigations support, or operations coordination.
  • Experience coaching employees and managing corrective action
  • Must be able to communicate in Spanish and English

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office. Incumbent may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the work day.

Physical Demands

This is largely a sedentary role and required being able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time. Occasionally, the person in this position is required to move/traverse inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. The person in this position is regularly communicates with others in person, phone, or correspondence.
