Job Summary: We are seeking a confident engineering leader to oversee the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of building systems in a Class A office environment. This opportunity offers the chance to guide a team, support client-facing operations, and help drive preventive maintenance and capital planning across a busy property.
Responsibilities
Oversee the maintenance and continuous operation of all building systems and equipment.Supervise, manage, train, and coach engineers and maintenance staff, including supporting hiring and development.Create and maintain preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance plans, while responding to emergencies and service calls.Lead budget planning, contractor oversight, technical training, and ongoing communication with the property team and client.
Required
7+ years of related experience, especially in a Chief Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer, or similar capacity.People management experience, including leading a team and managing staff performance.Trade school education, union training, military service, or college experience is desirable.Universal CFC EPA certification is required; EPA Universal is nice to have, but must be obtained within 90 days of employment.Stationary operating license is needed.Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely with ladders up to 30 feet.Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift, and/or drive, along with strong customer service, communication skills, and a valid driver license.
