Job Description: Freelance Faculty for Fundamentals of Telecommunication Systems – BSc IT Program

Position: Freelance Faculty (Part-Time / Hourly Basis)

Location: Mira Road, Thane

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic freelance faculty member to teach Fundamentals of Telecommunication Systems under the BSc IT program (Mumbai University Curriculum).

The role involves delivering engaging lectures, guiding practical sessions, and mentoring students to build strong foundations.

Subjects to be Taught

· Fundamentals of Telecommunication Systems

The subject covers:

Ø Signals and Systems

Ø Continuous-Time and Discrete-Time Signals

Ø System Properties and Signal Representation

Ø Fundamentals of Wireless Communication

Ø LTE and 5 G Network Evolution

Ø 5 G Architecture and Technologies

Ø Internet of Things (Io T) and Network Virtualization

Ø Small Cells and Emerging Telecommunication Technologies

Key Responsibilities

· Deliver lectures, tutorials, and lab sessions as per the prescribed syllabus.

· Develop teaching material, assignments, assessments, question papers and case studies aligned with course objectives.

· Correct answer sheets whenever required.

· Design and evaluate practical assignments, case studies, mini-projects, journals, viva examinations, and internal assessments.

· Provide academic support and mentoring to students.

· Ensure completion of syllabus within the semester timeline.

· Collaborate with the program team to improve pedagogy and curriculum delivery.

· Teach the fundamentals of signals and systems, wireless communication, LTE, 5 G technologies, and Io T concepts.

· Guide students in understanding real-world telecommunication systems and emerging communication technologies.

Qualifications

· Postgraduate degree in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

· Preferably Ph D / NET / SET qualified (not mandatory for freelance roles).

· Strong understanding of telecommunication systems, signals and systems, wireless communication, and networking concepts.

· Knowledge of LTE, 5 G technologies, Io T, and modern communication networks.

· Relevant industry certifications or research experience in telecommunications will be an added advantage.

Experience

· Minimum 2–3 years of teaching or industry experience in relevant subjects.

· Experience in academic curriculum delivery at the UG/PG level is preferred.

· Industry exposure in telecommunications, networking, wireless communication, or related domains will be an advantage.

· Exposure to modern teaching tools (LMS, online labs, virtual classrooms) will be an advantage.

Skills Required - Excellent communication and presentation skills.
