Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Jewellery Accountant with hands-on knowledge of GATI Software and accounting operations in the diamond and jewellery industry. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounts, jewellery/diamond stock records, purchase and sales entries, payments, receipts, and reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain day-to-day accounting transactions in GATI Software. Handle purchase, sales, purchase return and sales return entries. Maintain diamond and jewellery stock records, including weight, quantity, carat and value. Record and verify issue, receipt and transfer of diamonds/jewellery between departments. Maintain customer and supplier ledgers and perform regular ledger reconciliation. Handle cash, bank, receipt and payment entries. Prepare and verify invoices, vouchers, debit notes and credit notes. Reconcile bank accounts and outstanding receivables/payables. Monitor customer outstanding payments and supplier outstanding balances. Maintain accurate records of diamond/jewellery purchases, sales and stock movements. Coordinate with the Sales, Purchase, Production, Inventory and Management teams for accounting-related matters. Verify physical stock and system stock wherever required.
