About the Role We are seeking an Application Support Engineer to help maintain, support, and improve a growing suite of internal business applications and operational tools.
Our technology ecosystem includes custom-built applications developed using Next.js, React, and Postgre SQL , along with various internal and third-party business systems.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working closely with business users, implementing improvements, and ensuring critical business systems operate smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities · Provide day-to-day support for internal applications and business systems.
· Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application-related issues.
· Support and maintain internally developed web applications.
· Implement application enhancements and process improvements based on business requirements.
· Monitor application performance and proactively identify issues.
· Configure user accounts, permissions, and system settings.
· Collaborate with business users to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
· Coordinate with development teams for application enhancements and issue resolution.
· Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate new features.
· Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and support guides.
· Ensure applications remain reliable, secure, and well-maintained.
✅ Required Skills & Experience Must Have · Strong understanding of:
o Next.js
o React
o Postgre SQL
· Experience troubleshooting and supporting web-based applications.
· Good understanding of REST APIs and API integrations.
· Ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
· Experience working directly with end users and business teams.
· Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and organizational abilities.
· Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
· Comfortable working Toronto (EST) business hours from India.
Nice to Have · Basic knowledge of Java Script and Type Script.
· Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
· Experience with application monitoring and logging tools.
· Understanding of authentication, user management, and security best practices.
· Exposure to Agile methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
What Success Looks Like · Internal applications remain stable, secure, and well-maintained.
· User issues are resolved promptly and effectively.
· Business-requested enhancements are delivered efficiently and accurately.
· Documentation remains current and organized.
· Application downtime and operational disruptions are minimized.
Preferred Background · 2–5+ years of experience in Application Support, Technical Support, Systems Administration, or a similar role.
· Experience supporting custom-built web applications.
· Experience working with business stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions.
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
· Strong customer-service mindset and commitment to operational excellence.
