As an Employment Specialist (known internally as a Career Resource Specialist) you will help individuals find meaningful employment. Please note that this role would require candidates to have the following experience:
Four years of experience in a public vocational rehabilitation and/or workforce development setting working with individuals with disabilities including responsibilities in job coaching and job placement OR an associate's degree and three years of experience OR a bachelor’s degree and two years of experience OR a master’s degree and one year of experience.
A typical day might include the following:Working with individuals to develop career goals and objectivesTeaching individuals how to create a customized resume, fill out effective job applications, write cover letters, and prepare for interviewsEngaging with local businesses to develop potential job opportunitiesCoaching and guiding individuals at their job sitesCommunity-based travel in your personal vehicle to facilitate community-based job development and coaching, ensuring all services are delivered directly in the local environment. (mileage reimbursement provided)
