SEN Teaching Assistant – The School
· We are recruiting for a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Knightsbridge, Central London, seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join its specialist SEN department.
· The school is committed to supporting students with additional needs, providing a nurturing environment where every pupil is encouraged to develop academically, socially and emotionally.
· This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting students with special educational needs.
SEN Teaching Assistant – The Role
· Supporting secondary-aged students with special educational needs across the school's SEN department.
· Providing one-to-one and small-group support tailored to individual learning needs.
· Working closely with teachers and SEN staff to deliver personalised learning activities.
· Supporting students with their academic progress, communication, social skills and emotional wellbeing.
· Helping manage behaviour and encouraging positive engagement in learning.
· Adapting learning resources to meet students' individual needs.
· Creating a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
· Following safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times.
SEN Teaching Assistant - Requirements
· Previous experience supporting students with special educational needs is essential.
· Experience working with secondary-aged pupils in a school or specialist SEN setting is highly desirable.
· A patient, compassionate and proactive approach to supporting students with additional needs.
· Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
· The ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other SEN professionals.
· A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare. xrexnqw
· An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to complete the necessary checks.
