Quality Assurance Lead

About the RoleOur client is looking for a QA Lead to own quality from the ground up. You will build the test environment, gather and shape test requirements, and guide a team of offshore QA resources to deliver clean, reliable results. This is a hands on leadership role for someone who enjoys setting the standard and then helping a distributed team meet it.
What You’ll DoDesign, build, and maintain the test environment(s) needed to support testing across projectsGather, document, and validate test requirements by partnering with business analysts, developers, project managers, and business stakeholdersDevelop test strategies, test plans, and test cases that map back to business and technical requirementsLead, direct, and support offshore QA resources, including assigning work, reviewing deliverables, and keeping quality consistentCoordinate daily across time zones so handoffs are smooth and nothing falls through the cracksTrack and report on test progress, defects, and risks to project and leadership teamsTriage defects with development teams and drive them to resolutionEstablish and improve QA processes, standards, and documentationBe the go to voice for quality on the team and speak up early when something looks off
What You Bring5 years of experience in software quality assurance, including time in a lead roleProven experience building and managing test environments, including test data and configurationStrong background in requirements gathering and translating requirements into test coverageExperience leading or coordinating offshore or distributed QA teamsSolid knowledge xzbcwsv of QA methodologies, test case design, and the defect lifecycleExperience with test management and defect tracking tools (such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar)Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to give clear direction and constructive feedbackComfort working with both technical and business audiences
Nice to HaveExperience with test automation tools and frameworksFamiliarity with Agile and Scrum environmentsExperience in a regulated or audited environmentISTQB or similar QA certification
