Role Description The Principal for the Nursing Department is a full-time, on-site leadership role based at RIMT University in Punjab, India. The Principal will oversee academic planning, curriculum development, and quality assurance for nursing programs, ensuring compliance with university standards and regulatory bodies. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising faculty and staff, mentoring academic teams, coordinating teaching schedules, and monitoring student performance and progression. The role involves promoting evidence-based nursing education, fostering research initiatives, and building industry and clinical partnerships to enrich training and placements. The Principal will also manage departmental administration, budgeting, and resource allocation, while contributing to strategic planning and accreditation activities.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess advanced nursing qualifications (Ph.D. in Nursing) and meet regulatory requirements for heading a nursing institution.
• Candidates should possess strong academic and leadership skills, including experience in curriculum design, program coordination, and faculty supervision.
• Candidates should possess skills in education management and compliance, with familiarity in accreditation standards, regulatory guidelines, and quality assurance processes.
• Candidates should possess excellent communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills to engage students, faculty, clinical partners, and regulatory bodies effectively.
• Candidates should possess abilities in strategic planning, resource management, and data-driven decision-making for departmental growth and improvement.
• Prior experience as Principal, Vice-Principal, or senior academic administrator in a nursing college or university setting will be highly beneficial.
• Demonstrated involvement in nursing research, publications, conferences, and professional bodies will be an added advantage.
