This contract opportunity runs from August 24th through June 9th, with work hours from 7:30am to 3:30pm. You'll provide one-on-one care, including riding the bus with the student as needed. The primary focus is on monitoring and supporting a student affected mostly by absence seizures. Your attention and expertise will help ensure a safe learning environment every day. Key Qualifications: Active RN license required; LPNs considered with relevant experience Prior experience in school or pediatric nursing environments preferred Skilled in seizure care, especially handling absence seizures Comfortable administering rescue medication (nasal spray) Able to monitor and document vital signs, including blood pressure and temperature Strong communication skills for collaborating with school staff and families Primary Responsibilities: Provide dedicated 1:1 care to a middle school student during school hours and on the school bus Monitor for and respond to absence seizures, administering emergency medication as directed Regularly check student's vital signs, including blood pressure and temperature Maintain thorough, accurate health and care documentation Communicate observations and concerns promptly to healthcare team and school staff Support the student's safety, well-being, and readiness for learning throughout the school day Help make a difference by creating a secure and supportive school experience for a student who relies on your expertise.
