Part-time Accounting Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager or Controller-level consultant to support their accounting team on a long-term engagement expected to last up to one year.

This is a part-time role (approximately 20 hours per week) and requires being onsite in Golden, CO. The schedule can be flexible, but the ideal candidate enjoys staying engaged in the day-to-day accounting function while providing experienced support to leadership.Responsibilities:Support month-end close activitiesReview journal entries and account reconciliationsAssist with general ledger and financial reporting activitiesPartner with accounting leadership on special projects and process improvementsHelp manage workload, backlog, and ad hoc accounting initiativesProvide hands-on accounting support in a dynamic environmentPreferred Qualifications:7+ years of progressive accounting experiencePrevious experience as an Accounting Manager, Controller, Assistant Controller, or similar accounting leadership roleStrong understanding of month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger accountingExperience working within larger organizations and complex ERP environments (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Workday, or similar)Manufacturing experience is a plus, but not requiredExposure to process improvement, reporting automation, Power BI, Power Automate, Microsoft Copilot, or other workflow tools is a plus, but not requiredIdeal Candidate: We're primarily looking for a strong accounting professional who enjoys hands-on work and can quickly contribute. Experience with automation and workflow tools would be beneficial, but it is not a requirement. The salary range for this position is $55/hr to $70/hr. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
