Position OverviewThe Project Accountant serves as a key financial resource to project teams, helping ensure accurate job costing, timely project reporting, and strong communication between accounting and operations.
This role is highly visible and works closely with Project Managers and Engineers to support project success through accurate financial information and reporting.
ResponsibilitiesPartner with Project Managers to monitor project financial performanceMaintain accurate job cost records and project documentationProcess project-related invoices and ensure proper codingMatch invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentationTrack labor costs and other project expendituresAssist with project billings and customer invoicingPrepare supporting schedules and financial reportsManage lien release documentation and collection activitiesEnsure costs are allocated accurately to projectsProvide timely financial information to support project decision-makingServe as a liaison between accounting and operations teams

Preferred QualificationsAccounting, finance, business, project coordination, or related experienceRecent graduates encouraged to applyExperience supporting projects or working in a project-based environmentConstruction industry experience is a plusCost accounting experience is a plus but not requiredProficiency in Microsoft ExcelStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsBachelor's degree preferred but not required
