Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Fashion Designer role based in the Greater Surat Area. The Fashion Designer will be responsible for creating new apparel designs, selecting fabrics and textiles, and developing detailed technical specifications for production. Daily tasks include sketching concepts, preparing mood boards, coordinating embroidery and embellishment details, and ensuring proper fitting through sample reviews and adjustments. The role also involves working closely with production teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to align designs with brand standards, quality requirements, and market trends. The Fashion Designer will contribute to seasonal collections, support merchandising decisions, and participate in review meetings to refine designs based on feedback and performance. Qualifications
Strong skills in Fashion Design and Fashion, including concept development and trend interpretation. Knowledge of Textiles and Embroidery, with the ability to select appropriate materials and decorative techniques. Experience with Fitting, including sample evaluation and pattern adjustments to achieve desired silhouettes. Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, CAD software) and hand sketching. Understanding of garment construction, production processes, and quality standards. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate clearly with production and vendors. Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to handle multiple design projects. Relevant diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field; prior experience in apparel or ethnic wear design is an advantage.
