Role: Consultant Physician (Nuclear Medicine)

Engagement Type: Contract | Location: Remote(India)

Role Overview

We are seeking qualified and experienced Nuclear Medicine Specialists to support our medical imaging AI projects, with a primary focus on FDG PET/CT interpretation and reporting . In this role, you will provide expert clinical interpretation that serves as ground truth for AI model training, validation, and benchmarking within iMerit's Med AI division.


Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and report FDG PET/CT studies accurately and comprehensively.
  • Evaluate PET/CT findings and correlate metabolic activity with anatomical findings.
  • Identify and characterize areas of abnormal FDG uptake.
  • Provide clinically relevant, structured reports based on imaging findings, formatted to project-specific templates and schemas.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, consistency, and turnaround time across all assigned studies.
  • Follow project-specific reporting guidelines, labeling conventions, and quality standards set by the iMerit Med AI team.
  • Participate in feedback, calibration, and quality-review sessions with iMerit's clinical QA team as required.
  • Collaborate with iMerit's project management and QA structure to flag ambiguous cases and support consensus/arbitration workflows where needed.


Qualifications

  • MD/DM/DNB (or equivalent) in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Demonstrated clinical experience interpreting FDG PET/CT studies (oncology staging, treatment response assessment, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of PET/CT physics, radiotracer biodistribution, and correlation of metabolic with anatomical imaging.
  • Prior experience with structured/templated reporting is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, consistency, and ability to meet defined turnaround-time targets.
