b Overview /b p As a Principal/Senior Electrical Engineer at Stantec, you will lead electrical design across a range of energy projects in the UK, from feasibility to commissioning. You’ll collaborate with civil, mechanical, and other disciplines to deliver integrated solutions for substations, HV/EHV systems, and transmission lines. You’ll mentor junior engineers and ensure designs meet industry standards. The role centers on sustainable energy delivery and impactful project leadership within a collaborative, client-focused culture. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li competitive salary /li li pension plan /li li holidays /li li free private medical insurance /li li discounted gym membership /li li flexible working arrangements /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Lead electrical design across projects (generators, control instrumentation, protection, substations, transmission lines) /li li Perform feasibility studies, concept design, construction and commissioning support /li li Model, analyze and document electrical/electronic systems for feasibility and compliance /li li Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers /li li Collaborate with civil, mechanical and other disciplines for integrated designs /li li prepare and review design drawings, diagrams, load calculations, specifications and reports /li li participate in collaborative design reviews and workshops /li li present technical concepts to clients and project teams /li li ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status with the IET (ideally) /li li experience in the energy sector; other sectors useful /li li experience producing/interpreting design drawings and documents (SLDs, key line diagrams, block cable diagrams) /li li ability to perform calculations for equipment sizing and fault ratings /li li strong communication skills for client presentations and workshops /li /ul ul li strong communication /li li collaboration /li li client focus /li li HV and EHV experience /li li protection systems /li li substations and transmission lines /li /ul
