Mechanical Pipefitter

Job Description

As a Pipefitter you will be responsible for laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems in accordance with blueprints and specifications. This position requires a strong understanding of pipefitting techniques, tools, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret piping schematics, isometric drawings, and blueprints.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe using hand and power tools.
  • Fit and assemble steel and copper pipe systems using clamps, bolts, welding, or other methods.
  • Install supports, valves, and other components as needed.
  • Test systems for leaks using pressure gauges or other testing equipment.
  • Ensure work complies with industry codes and company standards.
  • Collaborate with welders, engineers, and other trades on the job site.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to all OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of pipe fitting experience in industrial or commercial settings.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of pipe systems (carbon steel, stainless, PVC, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures.
  • Welding experience or certification (a plus, but not required).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Employment Type: Full Time
Salary: $24 - $34 Hourly
