Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Business Objects (BOBJ) Administrator / Lead to manage and support enterprise Business Intelligence platforms. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in SAP Business Objects administration, security, performance tuning, server management, and lifecycle management. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance of the SAP BO landscape.

Key Responsibilities

SAP BO Platform Administration

Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain SAP Business Objects BI 4.x environments. Manage Central Management Server (CMS), Adaptive Processing Servers, Web Intelligence Processing Servers, and related BO services. Configure and manage server nodes through Central Management Console (CMC). Monitor BO platform health and ensure system availability.

Security & User Administration

Create and manage users, user groups, and roles. Implement role-based security and access controls. Configure folder-level, object-level, and application-level authorizations. Manage authentication mechanisms including Enterprise, LDAP, AD, and SSO integrations.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization

Monitor system performance and resource utilization. Configure auditing and monitoring tools. Analyze server logs and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks. Perform capacity planning and system tuning activities.

Report Scheduling & Instance Management

Manage report scheduling and publication activities. Monitor and troubleshoot failed report instances. Optimize report execution and scheduling performance. Support Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, and Analysis for Office reporting environments.

Lifecycle Management (LCM)

Perform migration of reports, universes, security, and folders across environments. Manage Promotion Management (LCM) between Development, QA, and Production systems. Support transport and deployment activities.

Database & Connectivity Management

Configure and maintain connections to: SAP BW SAP HANA MS SQL Server Oracle Other supported databases Manage universe connectivity and data source integrations. Perform backup, restore, and disaster recovery activities.

Troubleshooting & Support

Analyze and resolve platform issues. Support incident, problem, and change management processes. Coordinate with SAP Basis, Database, and Infrastructure teams. Provide root cause analysis (RCA) for critical incidents.

Documentation & Governance

Maintain operational procedures and system documentation. Create SOPs and knowledge base articles. Ensure compliance with organizational security and governance standards.
