Role Description

The Lawyer will work on-site in Lahore in a full-time capacity, focusing on intellectual property matters. Day-to-day responsibilities include advising clients on IP strategies, preparing and filing applications for trademarks, copyrights, designs, patents, and Madrid System registrations, and managing follow-up with relevant authorities. The role involves drafting and reviewing legal documents, handling IP-related disputes and litigation, and supporting enforcement actions such as oppositions, cancellations, and infringement proceedings. The Lawyer will also conduct legal research, maintain accurate case files, monitor IP portfolios, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality client service.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of intellectual property law, including trademarks, copyrights, designs, patents, and international registration systems.
• Experience in legal drafting, contract review, and preparation of filings and pleadings for IP offices and courts.
• Proficiency in legal research, case analysis, and preparation of opinions and advisory notes.
• Skills in client counseling, case management, and maintaining clear, professional communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) or equivalent; LL.M in Intellectual Property or related specialization is an advantage.
• Membership in the relevant bar council and eligibility to practice law in Pakistan.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple matters under deadlines.
• Prior experience in an IP-focused law firm or corporate legal department is preferred but not mandatory.
