Senior Tax Manager (Chicago)

I'm currently partnered with a leading national public accounting firm that's looking to add a Corporate Tax Senior Manager to its growing Chicago practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong corporate tax background who wants to work with larger, more sophisticated clients while progressing toward a long-term Partner opportunity. The firm is investing heavily in its growth over the next several years, creating exciting opportunities for experienced tax professionals looking for greater leadership responsibilities, equity participation, and a more tangible path to Partner. Responsibilities Lead complex corporate tax compliance and consulting engagements for large corporate clients Oversee C-Corporation / Form 1120 returns and related workpapers Manage and review ASC 740 income tax provisions Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for key clients Oversee multiple engagements and manage client deliverables Lead, mentor, and develop Managers, Seniors, and junior team members Work closely with Partners on complex tax matters, client strategy, and practice growth Contribute to business development and long-term client relationships Ideal Background 7–10+ years of public accounting tax experience Current Senior Manager or experienced Manager ready for the next step Strong C-Corporation / Form 1120 experience Significant ASC 740 / tax provision experience Exposure to larger, more sophisticated corporate clients Previous Top 25, national, or Big Four public accounting experience preferred Strong client relationship management and leadership skills CPA preferred Compensation
