Role Summery:

The Head of Department – Mathematics will provide strategic academic leadership for the Mathematics department in the Secondary School (Grades 6–10), driving curriculum excellence, instructional quality, and strong student outcomes. The role involves leading and developing a team of Mathematics teachers, setting departmental standards, and ensuring alignment with board requirements and Lighthouse Learning Group's academic vision.

Work Location: Kharadi

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead the Mathematics department across Grades 6–10, ensuring academic excellence and curriculum delivery.
• Plan, review, and implement the Mathematics curriculum in line with board requirements.
• Mentor and develop Mathematics teachers through coaching, observations, and feedback.
• Monitor teaching quality, lesson planning, and timely syllabus completion.
• Analyse student performance and implement strategies to improve learning outcomes.
• Oversee assessments, board examinations, and result analysis.
• Promote innovative teaching practices, problem-solving, and conceptual learning in Mathematics.
• Engage with parents, students, and school leadership on academic progress and departmental initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with board guidelines, school policies, and academic standards.

Qualification & Experience:

• Master's Degree in Mathematics with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).
• 8–12 years of teaching experience in Secondary Mathematics, with 3–4 years in a Head of Department or academic leadership role.
• Proven track record of improving student achievement and driving excellence in Mathematics education.
• Strong knowledge of CBSE, ICSE, or IB Mathematics curriculum, board requirements, and assessment practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, mentoring, and strategic planning skills.
