Job Description

Position: Accountancy Teacher

Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and effective lectures in Accountancy, Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Taxation, and related Commerce subjects. Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments aligned with the prescribed curriculum. Evaluate student performance through assignments, tests, examinations, and practical activities. Provide academic guidance, mentoring, and support to help students achieve their learning goals. Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress. Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and practical application of accounting concepts. Integrate technology and modern teaching methodologies into classroom instruction. Prepare students for board examinations and competitive or professional courses such as CA Foundation, CMA, and CS Foundation, where applicable. Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, faculty development programs, and school/college activities. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and academic coordinators to enhance student learning outcomes. Stay updated with changes in accounting standards, taxation laws, and educational practices.

Required Qualifications Master's Degree in Commerce (M. Com.) with specialization in Accountancy or Finance. B. Ed. is preferred (if applicable to the institution). Relevant teaching experience in Intermediate, Degree, CBSE, State Board, or equivalent curriculum is preferred. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and financial management. Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital teaching tools. Passion for teaching and mentoring students with a student-centric approach.
