Contract Process Engineer | Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

New Jersey | 6-Month Contract | $75–$95/hour

We are supporting a global pharmaceutical manufacturer with the appointment of an experienced Process Engineer for an initial six-month contract in New Jersey.

This is a hands-on commercial manufacturing position. The focus is established production at scale, process performance and manufacturing execution, not laboratory or early-stage development work.

You will work closely with Manufacturing, MSAT, Quality, Validation and Engineering to improve process performance, troubleshoot production issues and support reliable, compliant manufacturing.

Key responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot complex process and manufacturing issues on the production floor
• Improve yield, throughput, cycle time, capacity and process robustness
• Lead root cause investigations, deviations and CAPA activity
• Support PPQ, process validation, change controls and continued process verification
• Analyse manufacturing data and identify causes of process variability
• Support equipment, process and operational improvements
• Drive practical continuous improvement within a cGMP environment

We are looking for Process Engineers with strong commercial-scale pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing experience.

The strongest candidates will be comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced GMP facility and working directly with manufacturing teams to solve problems at source.

Initial contract: 6 months

Location: New Jersey

Rate: $75–$95/hour, depending on experience
