Eckert Seamans, a nationally recognized AmLaw 200 law firm, is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join its growing Financial Services Litigation practice in White Plains, New York. This is an exciting opportunity for a litigation attorney to work on complex, substantive matters in a collaborative environment that values professional growth, independent thinking, and exceptional client service.The ideal candidate will have experience representing financial institutions and mortgage servicers in real property matters, along with a strong foundation in commercial litigation. Attorneys who enjoy managing their own caseload, advocating for clients, and working alongside talented legal professionals will thrive in this role.
What You'll DoManage a variety of active commercial litigation matters with increasing independence.Represent financial institutions and mortgage servicers in real property-related disputes.Conduct depositions, participate in oral arguments, and appear in court.Develop case strategies, conduct legal research, and prepare persuasive legal briefs and other litigation documents.Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop practical, results-oriented legal solutions.
What We're Looking For4+ years of commercial litigation experience.Admission to the New York Bar is required.Financial services litigation experience, particularly involving real property matters, is strongly preferred.Demonstrated deposition, oral argument, and courtroom experience.Excellent academic credentials and exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, a proactive work ethic, and the ability to manage multiple matters effectively.A team-oriented mindset paired with the confidence to handle assignments independently.
