About ABV
ABV is an investment and operating firm working across infrastructure, mining and technology. We combine structured research with practical execution and value curiosity, sound judgment, clear communication and a willingness to take ownership.
About the Role
ABV is looking for a sharp, resourceful and highly dependable early-career professional to work directly with a Partner across research, communications, stakeholder outreach, executive support and daily coordination.
You will research unfamiliar subjects, prepare concise briefs, draft thoughtful communications, manage outreach and follow-up pipelines, coordinate schedules and ensure important commitments do not get lost.
The position includes both professional and personal coordination. It requires maturity, discretion and comfort handling sensitive information within clearly defined approval boundaries.
This is neither a conventional administrative position nor a purely strategic role. The right person will be equally comfortable preparing a research brief, writing to a senior executive, organizing a meeting and following up until an agreed action is completed.
What You Will Do
Research and Decision Support
- Research companies, sectors, people, products, services, venues and other unfamiliar subjects.
- Compare options and convert findings into concise briefs, recommendations and trackers.
- Verify information, identify relevant context and flag decisions requiring the Partner’s attention.
- Prepare spreadsheets, presentations and other decision-support materials.
- Use AI tools responsibly to accelerate research and routine work while verifying important information.
Communications and Stakeholder Outreach
- Identify relevant founders, investors, advisers, recruiters, operators, vendors and other professional contacts.
- Draft personalized emails, LinkedIn messages, introductions and follow-ups.
- Adapt communications to the recipient and context rather than relying on generic templates.
- Maintain an organized outreach pipeline containing contacts, dates, responses and next actions.
- Execute agreed follow-up cadences and surface promising conversations or opportunities.
Executive and Personal Coordination
- Coordinate professional and personal schedules, meetings, reservations and related logistics.
- Assist with high-trust personal and social correspondence using agreed tone guidelines and approval boundaries.
- Draft thoughtful responses that reflect the Partner’s communication style.
- Coordinate venues and arrangements around Central Bengaluru.
- Identify sensitive or nuanced conversations that require the Partner’s direct attention.
- Maintain complete discretion and ensure the Partner retains control of final communications and personal decisions.
Inbox, Calendar and Follow-Through
- Triage email and organize messages requiring attention.
- Draft routine responses for review.
- Maintain an accurate calendar covering professional and personal commitments.
- Prevent scheduling conflicts and ensure adequate preparation for important meetings.
- Track commitments, reminders and follow-ups through completion.
- Provide a concise daily debrief covering approvals, confirmed plans, responses and outstanding actions.
Systems and Operational Support
- Create and maintain trackers, checklists, contact records and repeatable workflows.
- Coordinate meetings, documents, reservations and occasional administrative requirements.
- Follow up with relevant people until agreed actions are completed.
- Identify recurring work that can be organized, simplified or automated.
- Improve the reliability and efficiency of the Partner’s day-to-day operating system.
Who Will Do Well
- You are a recent graduate or have up to two years of relevant professional experience.
- Your experience may include internships or early-career roles in a founder’s office, executive support, business operations, research, consulting, communications, executive search, event coordination or project management.
- You have demonstrated ownership through internships, independent projects, college leadership, entrepreneurship, volunteering or professional work.
- You are an excellent written communicator who can adapt your tone across professional, personal and informal situations.
- You can research unfamiliar subjects independently and convert your findings into clear recommendations.
- You are highly organized, attentive to detail and dependable with follow-ups.
- You are comfortable initiating professional outreach and communicating with senior people.
- You exercise maturity and discretion when handling confidential or personal information.
- You are willing to handle both substantive research and detailed logistical work.
- You are comfortable using spreadsheets, presentations, calendars, productivity software and modern AI tools.
- You can work independently within established systems and ask sensible questions when context is incomplete.
- You can commute reliably to UB City for a full-time, in-person role.
- A bachelor’s degree in any discipline is welcome. We care more about writing ability, judgment, curiosity and demonstrated ownership than academic pedigree.
This Role May Not Suit You If
- You are looking exclusively for strategy work and do not want to handle scheduling or personal coordination.
- You prefer narrowly defined or repetitive responsibilities.
- You require frequent reminders to complete agreed work.
- You are uncomfortable following up persistently or handling confidential information.
- You are looking for a remote or hybrid position.
Why Join ABV
- Work directly with a Partner and observe how information is evaluated and decisions are made.
- Gain exposure to multiple industries, including infrastructure, mining and technology.
- Take meaningful responsibility across research, communications, systems and execution.
- Develop strong professional judgment and executive communication skills.
- Build practical AI-assisted workflows for research, outreach, organization and follow-through.
- Take on broader responsibilities as trust, context and performance develop.
- You will initially work within clear systems and approval boundaries, with the expectation that you will take on greater independence as judgment, trust and context develop.
