American Crematory Equipment Company

American Crematory Equipment Company is seeking disciplined, mechanically and electrically skilled individuals for a Field Service Technician position. This role focuses on diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, commissioning, and maintaining crematory equipment and associated support systems nationwide. This is a mission-driven, hands-on technical role requiring critical thinking, problem-solving, customer interaction, and leadership.

Field Service Technicians serve as the front line of technical support, working directly with customers to identify issues, restore equipment operation, and ensure reliable performance. Successful candidates will receive training on combustion systems, controls, hydraulics, electrical systems, and crematory operations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot crematory equipment operational issues
  • Perform repairs on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and combustion systems
  • Inspect and test burners, flame safeguard controls, gas trains, blowers, and safety devices
  • Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, temperature controls, and instrumentation systems
  • Repair and replace valves, actuators, motors, sensors, switches, and control components
  • Perform startup, commissioning, and operational verification of new equipment
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and service visits
  • Verify proper calibration of combustion and control systems
  • Complete detailed service reports and customer documentation
  • Communicate findings and repair recommendations to customers and management
  • Travel nationwide for service assignments and emergency repairs

  • HVAC, combustion, controls, automation, or service technician background
  • Military technical experience encouraged
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings
  • Experience using diagnostic equipment and electrical test instruments
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
