Banking and Finance Senior Associate

b Overview /b p In this role you will join a leading global finance practice to support the Asset Based Lending (ABL) team from Manchester. You will work on a range of finance transactions, including ABL, leveraged and corporate finance, often in cross-border mandates. You will draft key finance documents and contribute to client growth while collaborating with partners across the UK and internationally. This is a hands-on, client-facing position with opportunities to develop sector knowledge and pursue secondments. You’ll be part of a collegiate, high-performing team focused on delivering commercial, high-value financing solutions. /p b Responsibilities /b ul li Work on a broad range of Finance transactions with emphasis on ABL and opportunities in leveraged and corporate finance /li li Represent lenders and borrowers in complex ABL transactions /li li Provide international deal exposure with cross-border mandates in collaboration with other offices /li li Draft finance documents including credit agreements, intercreditor agreements and security documents /li li Engage in business development locally and in London to support client growth /li li Develop specialist sector knowledge and collaborate with Finance partners across the UK /li li Potential for client or interoffice secondments /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li 4–7 years PQE (indicative) in finance law /li li Solicitor qualified in England Wales or a Commonwealth jurisdiction (with at least 2 years English market experience if in a Commonwealth jurisdiction) /li li Experience as a finance lawyer with exposure to ABL and interest in developing an ABL practice /li li Strong technical skills in finance work and familiarity with common ABL structures /li li International awareness; multi-jurisdictional transaction experience preferred but not essential /li li Ability to lead a transaction team as the lead lawyer and supervise junior associates /li li Commercially astute, able to stay current on legal/business news /li li Excellent communication, client relations, and teamwork /li li Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment /li li Willingness to broaden finance experience beyond ABL /li /ul ul li strong communication /li li client relations /li li teamwork /li li Asset Based Lending (ABL) /li li leveraged finance /li li corporate finance for PLC borrowers /li /ul
