Quality Engineer II
Location: Sumner, WA
Contract: 6 months
Openings: 1
Position Overview
Looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to help improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency while reducing process variation and operating costs. This person will use data-driven problem solving to identify root causes, improve manufacturing processes, support corrective actions, and participate in internal quality audits.
Must-Haves
- 5–7+ years of Quality Engineering experience
- Aerospace experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control
- Experience with measurement methods and quality techniques
- Strong root cause analysis and data-driven problem-solving experience
- 3+ years using Microsoft Office for quality/data analysis
- Pivot tables
- Control charts
- Data analysis
Nice-to-Haves
- Composite materials experience
- PFMEA experience
- MSA experience
Key Responsibilities
- Improve overall product quality
- Identify and reduce variation within manufacturing processes
- Perform root cause analysis on manufacturing/quality issues
- Drive corrective actions for internal and external quality issues
- Use data and quality metrics to identify process improvements
- Support Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- Participate in internal process audits
- Improve manufacturing efficiency and help reduce operating costs
- Support customer satisfaction through product and process improvements
Root Cause Analysis + Corrective Action + FMEA/PFMEA + MSA + Manufacturing Quality
Composite experience would be a strong bonus, but I wouldn’t make it a hard requirement based on this JD.
