Kaya Labs is Kaya’s innovation and talent-building initiative, working with ambitious students, universities, and early-career builders to turn high-potential ideas into real products and deployments.
The role
We’re looking for a hands-on Kaya Labs Lead to build and run Kaya Labs in India. You’ll work closely with student teams, university partners, and Kaya leadership to guide projects, accelerate execution, and grow a long-term talent pipeline.
What you’ll do
- Lead Kaya Labs’ programs, projects, and partnerships in India.
- Work day to day with interns and student builders.
- Mentor teams, unblock execution, and help turn ideas into working prototypes.
- Build relationships with universities, professors, and student communities.
- Recruit and manage an ongoing internship pipeline.
- Help plan hackathons, campus initiatives, and showcase events.
- Coordinate with Kaya’s product and leadership teams on priorities and deployments.
What we’re looking for
- 4–5 years of experience in technology, product, engineering, operations, startups, or innovation programs.
- Strong ownership and ability to operate in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience mentoring, managing, or collaborating with early-career talent.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Interest in AI, technology, and building practical products.
- IIT Bombay or another leading technical institution is preferred.
Nice to have
- Experience with university partnerships, hackathons, incubators, or talent programs.
- Background in AI, hardware, software, robotics, or connected devices.
- Experience taking early-stage products from concept to deployment.
