HCL Hiring for Chassis Design Engineer in Chennai - Automotive Domain

We are looking for experienced Automotive domain Engineer with strong expertise in Chassis.

Experience: 5-9 Years

Location: Chennai

Qualification: B.E / B.Tech (Mechanical)

Design & Development.

Required Skills:

• CATIA V5 / 3DX
• Chassis CAD Design
• GD&T
• Part Modelling
• Drafting & Drawing
• Assembly & Kinematics
• Sheet Metal Design
• Manufacturing Processes
• Teamcenter Engineering
• Vis Mockup
• WERS, GPDS & DPA 0/1 knowledge
• Global Change Management (GCM)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and development of chassis systems including Brakes, Suspension, Wheels & Tires.
• Develop CAD models, drawings, and GD&T in CATIA V5/3DX.
• Support chassis aggregate design and engineering decisions.
• Drive components from concept to production readiness.
• Work closely with D&R engineers, suppliers, and global stakeholders.
• Ensure manufacturability, assembly feasibility, and serviceability.
• Support New Product Development (NPD) programs and milestone deliveries.

Preferred:

• Experience in Ford product development processes.
• Knowledge of WERS, GPDS, DPA, and GCM.
• Flexibility to collaborate across global time zones.
