Job Summary
We are looking for a QA Engineer with 3+ years of experience in manual testing and a strong understanding of networking fundamentals. The candidate will be responsible for testing network-based applications and features, validating L2/L3 functionality, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with Development, Product, and Network Engineering teams in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans based on product requirements. Perform functional, regression, integration, sanity, and system testing. Test network environments involving routers, switches, VLANs, L2 switching, and L3 routing. Apply OSI and TCP/IP model knowledge to troubleshoot issues across network layers. Validate VLAN segmentation, routing, switching, IPv4/IPv6, and dual-stack behavior. Analyze network traffic and troubleshoot connectivity/functional issues. Log, track, and manage defects using Jira, Zoho, or similar tools. Clearly document defects with reproduction steps, logs, severity, and impact. Collaborate with developers and product owners to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives. Maintain test documentation, execution reports, and traceability.Required Skills
2–5 years of QA/Manual Testing experience. Strong knowledge of OSI & TCP/IP models. Good understanding of IPv4, IPv6, subnetting, VLANs, L2 switching, and L3 routing. Experience in functional, regression, integration, and system testing. Hands-on experience with Jira/Zoho or equivalent defect tracking tools. Good troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.Mayur Batham
