Perspectives Vision Clinic is looking for a skilled, experienced professional to join our team in a full-time role. This position combines optical expertise with hands-on optometric technician responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in providing excellent patient care. Duties

• This role will allocated as 80% in an optician capacity, and 20% in a technician capacity.
• Provide knowledgeable, personalized optical service and assist patients with frame and lens selection.
• Analyze and interpret individual prescriptions to make individualized recommendations for ophthalmic lenses.
• Assist optometrists during eye examinations by preparing patients and managing clinical equipment including Retinal OCT, Corneal Topography, Axial Length, Retinal Photography, Tonometry and Visual Acuity.
• Manage patient records using EMR/EHR systems while maintaining strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and medical privacy policies
• Provide excellent customer service by guiding patients through frame selections, explaining lens options, and troubleshooting lens issues.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of ocular principles, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to eye care.
• Familiarity with health regulation policies such as HIPAA, state healthcare regulations, and clinical confidentiality policies.
• Optical experience including spectacle lens dispensing, eyewear fittings, frame adjustments, and laboratory procedures.
• Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation
• Excellent customer service skills and a compassionate, individualized approach to healthcare.
• Experience with vision insurance authorization and submission, including VSP and EyeMed.
