Job Description – Project Manager (Power Systems) Position: Project Manager – Power Systems Department: Projects Location: Mohali (Head Office) Number of Positions: 2 Experience: 8–14 Years Qualification: B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (Diploma not acceptable) CTC: Up to ₹15 LPA Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Project Manager – Power Systems to lead the execution of EHV/HV substation projects (220kV & 400kV) from project initiation through successful completion. The candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, budgeting, monitoring project progress, managing risks, ensuring timely delivery, and coordinating with internal teams and clients to achieve project objectives. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end execution of Power System projects (220kV & 400kV Substations). Prepare detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and resource allocation. Monitor project progress from initiation to closure while ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards. Develop and control project budgets, cash flow, and cost forecasts. Conduct project risk assessments and implement mitigation plans. Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Quality, and Commissioning teams. Lead project review meetings with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders. Track project performance using MIS reports and KPIs. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, technical specifications, and safety standards. Resolve project execution challenges and drive timely decision-making. Monitor project documentation, change management, and project closure activities. Maintain effective communication with customers and senior management regarding project status. Required Skills Strong experience in execution of 220kV & 400kV Power System/Substation Projects . Expertise in project planning, scheduling, and monitoring. Budgeting, cost control, and cash flow management. Risk identification and mitigation. Contract management and project coordination. Client relationship management and stakeholder communication. Knowledge of EPC project execution processes. Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera (preferred), MS Excel, and project reporting tools. Preferred Industry Power Transmission Substation EPC Power Infrastructure Electrical EPC Companies Candidate Profile B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (Mandatory). Diploma qualification will not be considered. 8–14 years of relevant experience in managing EHV/HV power system projects. Experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously will be an added advantage. Strong communication, planning, and leadership skills.
