At Mass General Brigham Home Care, Physical Therapists deliver skilled, personalized care to patients recovering from illness, injury, surgery, or joint replacement, as well as those managing chronic, cardiac, respiratory, or neurological conditions. In the home, you see the full picture—tailoring treatment to each person’s real environment while helping patients restore mobility, reduce pain, prevent falls, and regain confidence and independence. Role Snapshot
- Schedule: Full-time, part-time, and per diem opportunities available
- Hours: Daytime schedules
- Typical Visits: Approximately 3–6 patients per day, depending on visit type
- Territory: Assigned based on your home location and patient needs
- Connected, collaborative care: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams and referring providers across Mass General Brigham, with access to system-wide clinical resources.
- Meaningful clinical impact: Provide personalized care to patients with diverse and complex needs while helping them recover safely and confidently at home.
- Structured onboarding and mentorship: Receive field training and support from experienced clinicians as you build confidence in home-based practice.
- Flexibility and autonomy: Organize your day within your assigned territory while balancing patient needs and visit schedules.
- Practical support: Receive mileage reimbursement, with Boston-area parking passes available where applicable.
- Benefits and weekly pay: Part-time employees working 20 or more hours per week are eligible for benefits, and employees are paid weekly.
- Complete comprehensive physical therapy evaluations in patients’ homes.
- Develop and adjust individualized care plans with measurable, patient-centered goals.
- Provide skilled interventions to improve strength, balance, mobility, endurance, and function.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, fall prevention, and safe mobility strategies.
- Recommend and coordinate adaptive equipment and additional services.
- Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team and referring providers.
- Document care accurately and efficiently using mobile technology.

- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Current Massachusetts PT license (or eligibility prior to start).
- Clinical experience in home care, acute care, rehab, outpatient, or geriatrics required.
- Comfortable with electronic documentation and mobile technology.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within assigned territory.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
