We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of commercial construction projects alongside an experienced Project Manager and Site Superintendent.The ideal candidate will have experience with a reputable General Contractor and a solid understanding of construction documentation, subcontractor coordination, contract administration and project controls. This individual will play an important role in maintaining project continuity, supporting commercial performance and ensuring effective communication between the field, Owners and Design Teams.

Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Project Manager in coordinating commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion.Assist with the administration and review of Owner contracts, subcontractor agreements, scopes of work and other project documentation.Help review subcontractor pricing, change orders, cost proposals and scope adjustments to ensure accuracy and value.Work closely with Site Superintendents to understand field activities, resolve issues and coordinate the flow of information between the site and project management team.Coordinate and track submittals, ensuring documentation is reviewed, processed and returned in line with project schedules and specifications.Manage RFIs, drawing revisions, meeting minutes, procurement logs and other project documentation.Attend Owner, Architect, Engineer and subcontractor meetings, contributing to discussions and following up on outstanding actions.Build confidence in communicating directly with Owners and Design Teams, with the ability to manage routine matters independently as experience develops.Assist with project budgets, cost tracking, commitments, change orders and financial reporting.Monitor project schedules, procurement activities and outstanding deliverables to support on-time completion.Help identify project risks, maintain accurate records and ensure contractual and quality requirements are met.Support the delivery of CDA and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) projects, where applicable.
Required QualificationsPrevious experience as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer or in a similar construction project-management role with a General Contractor.Experience working on commercial construction projects.A solid understanding of Owner and subcontractor agreements, scopes of work and contract administration.Exposure to subcontractor pricing, cost negotiations, change orders and commercial project management.Experience working alongside Site Superintendents and an understanding of field construction operations.Knowledge of submittal reviews, RFIs, drawings, specifications and construction documentation.Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple project requirements and deadlines.Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to interact professionally with Owners, subcontractors and Design Teams.A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a strong sense of accountability and teamwork. xzbcwsv A commitment to quality, integrity and successful project delivery.Preferred Background
