Architectural Coordinator
Haven Building Technologies · Secaucus, New Jersey, United States
FULL TIMEpermanent
Job Description
Haven is a construction technology company deploying advanced manufacturing and AI to design and manufacture light-gauge steel and insulated wall systems setting a higher standard for housing and tackling construction labor shortages at scale. We are hiring an Architectural Coordinator to join our team in Secaucus, NJ.
Maximise your chances of a successful application to this job by ensuring your CV and skills are a good match.
Compensation and benefits- Base salary of $80,000 to $90,000- Stock options- Medical and dental insurance
About the roleThis role carries architectural coordination across several active Haven projects at once. You will take client architecture into the Haven panel system, keep models and documentation accurate as projects move, and follow the processes each project requires to be built.
Architectural coordination across projects- Carry architectural coordination on multiple active projects at once, each at a different stage- Translate client drawings and requirements into the Haven panel system- Hold the project requirements that drive framing or are driven by it: rough openings, foundation requirements, dimensional constraints- Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing so the model matches what actually gets built- Know what each project needs next and when, without being asked for a status- Flag conflicts between client intent and the panel system early, with options rather than just the problem
Revit, BIM, and the panel system- Model and maintain project files in BIM platforms to Haven standards- Work fluently inside the Haven panel system: its constraints, its dimensions, what it can and can't absorb- Produce and maintain manufacturing-ready documentation- Keep models current as changes come in, so what's modeled never drifts from what's in production- Build out Haven's template and family library so each project starts further along than the last
AI-native workflow- Use AI tooling as a default part of the job: drafting documentation, checking drawing sets, automating repetitive modeling and coordination work- Notice the parts of the job being done by hand twice, and build a faster way- Adopt new tools quickly rather than waiting for a process to be handed down
Client and team interface- Join client calls on architectural questions and answer them directly- Play a supporting role on the relationship. Leadership owns the client; this role owns the architecture- Route scope, cost, and schedule questions back to Leadership rather than answering them in the moment- Keep project documentation organized and current enough that anyone can pick up a project and see where it stands
What this role does not own- Client relationship ownership, scope negotiation, change order pricing, and billing- Capacity sequencing and schedule commitments to clients- The final QC gate on manufacturing files- Construction closeout
Requirements- Around three years in a coordination-heavy architecture firm- Strong Revit and BIM modeling. Comfortable owning a model, not only working inside someone else's- AI-native: you already use these tools daily and reach for them without being told to- Organized enough to hold several projects at different stages without dropping details- You want to see a lot of homes get built. xzbcwsv This is a volume role on a repeatable system, not a bespoke design role
How this role can growHaven's delivery function is still being built, so the shape of this work isn't fixed.- There is room to influence how architectural coordination works here, rather than inheriting someone else's process- As volume grows, this role could expand toward owning project delivery end to end- Early contributors have room to shape the panel system itself, not only apply it
