Job Title: Accountant ContractorPay Range - $55/hr-$60/hrLocation: Tampa, FLDuration: 12 Months Contract

Position SummaryWe are seeking for a accountants at the staff or lower senior level to support daily accounting operations while the internal team focuses on an SAP S/4HANA implementation and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Will handle routine accounting responsibilities and must be able to learn quickly, follow process documentation, and work independently with limited training. These assignments are project-based, with no expectation of permanent conversion.
ResponsibilitiesPerform general ledger accounting activities to support daily operations.Prepare account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items.Follow documented accounting processes and complete assigned tasks accurately and on time.Use Excel to organize, analyze, and reconcile financial data.Work within SAP to support assigned accounting responsibilities.Provide cost accounting or inventory accounting support as needed, depending on experience and team workload.Communicate questions, issues, and progress to the accounting team.
Required QualificationsPrior general ledger accounting experience with hands-on responsibility for preparing reconciliations.Strong Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables.Ability to understand accounting processes and perform work using existing documentation.Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.Ability to ramp up quickly and work independently with minimal guidance.Willingness to accept a project-based contract assignment.
Preferred QualificationsSAP experience.Cost accounting or inventory accounting experience.Experience working in a manufacturing environment.Prior contract experience or experience quickly adapting to a new accounting team
