<p><b>Job Purpose</b></p><p><br /></p><p>To serve as the official face and voice of Chandigarh University's major institutional events by delivering engaging, professional, and high-energy stage presentations while ensuring seamless audience engagement, protocol adherence, and coordination with event stakeholders.</p><p><br /></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><p><br /></p><p>• Anchor university-level events including Convocations, Orientation Programmes, Cultural Festivals, Academic Conferences, Sports Events, Award Ceremonies, VIP Visits, and National/International Conferences.</p><p>• Conduct live stage hosting with confidence, professionalism, and excellent audience engagement.</p><p>• Adapt anchoring style according to the nature of the event (formal, ceremonial, academic, cultural, entertainment, etc.). Script Development</p><p>• Prepare and customize event scripts, stage flow, cue sheets, and announcements.</p><p>• Coordinate with event managers, protocol teams, and organizing departments to ensure script accuracy.</p><p>• Research speakers, guests, and event highlights for impactful introductions.</p><p>• Work closely with the Event Production Team, Technical Team, Hospitality Team, Branding Team, and Protocol Team.</p><p>• Coordinate backstage activities and ensure smooth event transitions.</p><p>• Maintain event timelines and stage discipline.</p><p>• Deliver announcements with excellent diction, pronunciation, voice modulation, and stage presence.</p><p>• Handle unexpected situations on stage confidently.</p><p>• Engage audiences through interactive sessions wherever appropriate.</p><p>• Ensure proper introduction and acknowledgment of dignitaries as per protocol.</p><p>• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism during high-profile events.</p><p>• Represent Chandigarh University in an exemplary manner.</p><p>• Maintain repository of scripts, event reports, and stage documentation.</p><p>• Support rehearsals and event dry runs.</p><p>• Participate in planning meetings and post-event reviews.</p><p><br /></p><p><b>Qualifications &amp; Skills:</b></p><p><br /></p><p>• Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Theatre, Performing Arts, Public Relations, Event Management, English, or any relevant discipline.</p><p>• Postgraduate qualification in Mass Communication/Event Management shall be preferred.</p><p>• 3-5 years of professional experience in live event anchoring.</p><p>• Experience in universities, media houses, event management companies, corporate events, or</p><p>television/radio hosting will be preferred.</p><p>• Portfolio of anchoring videos is mandatory.</p><p>• Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.</p><p>• Strong command over English and Hindi (Punjabi will be an added advantage).</p><p>• Script writing and editing.</p><p>• Event protocol knowledge.</p><p>• Stage management.</p><p>• Basic understanding of audio-visual equipment and event production.</p><p><br /></p><p><b>Call at </b></p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?e6alHVjzw78Qik4aqmlBxv6n2OqRpnk%2bn" width="0" height="0" />
