We are seeking a Data Engineerwith immediate availability that will thrive in a challenging and rewarding process-oriented environment.
Location:HybridThis position is located in the National Capital Region.On-site 2-3 times per week at client site in Pentagon/Navy Yard/Crystal City
Travel:May require up to 25-30% travel to support site visits as needed
Salary: A salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 is available for this position. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, education, certifications, technical qualifications, security clearance, and internal equity. Responsibilities:Advana Support:Deliver and provide subject matter expertise over the use of the Advana platform.Support existing and/or new use cases utilizing the tools and applications within AdvanaDesign, develop, and maintain data pipelines, including querying data from various sources, applying transformations, and storing outputs for reporting
Security Clearance:US Citizenship requiredAbility to obtain and maintain a US Security clearance at the minimum level of Secret
Education and Experience:Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited United States college3-9 years of progressive, relevant experience supporting IT Development (SDLC – Technical documentation, requirements, design, testing, change management or deployment)3-9 years of progressive, relevant experience creating/maintaining databases or data and analytics experience (creation of data visualizations, data analytic reports, data cleansing scripts and processes or performing technical data analysis) for State or Federal Government agencies or large, complex companies (greater than 1,000 employees)Experience using the Databricks platform and proficient in utilizing its features and architectureExperience designing, developing, and maintaining interactive data visualizations and dashboards using the Qlik Sense platformProficient in SQL and Python (PySpark, Pandas)Ability to translate business requirements into technical data solutions
Preferred Additional Skills:Experience with Navy ERPExperience working with financial/accounting data (specifically in the Federal domain)Knowledge of the United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL)Knowledge of SAP softwareExperience with Federal Government Contracting processGood organization skills to balance and prioritize workAnalytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot systems problemsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independently and as part of a team
