Job Title: Head of Business Deposits & Transaction Banking

Department: SME & Business Banking

Job Overview

We are looking for a seasoned banking leader to drive the Bank’s Business Deposits & Transaction Banking franchise. The role will be responsible for developing Shariah-compliant business banking propositions, growing stable business deposits, increasing transaction activity and fee income, and strengthening long-term banking relationships across SME and business customers through relationship-led and digitally enabled solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the business deposits and transaction banking strategy, annual plan, operating model, and growth roadmap.
• Develop and manage Shariah-compliant business account propositions for SME and business customers.
• Lead relationship managers and drive acquisition, retention, and relationship deepening initiatives.
• Manage transaction banking solutions including collections, payments, payroll, cash management, and related business services.
• Oversee onboarding and implementation of transaction banking solutions and business accounts.
• Partner with SME Coverage, Partnerships, Merchant Acquiring, Digital Channels, Operations, and Technology teams to deliver integrated business propositions.
• Develop customer insights to identify deposit opportunities, transaction use cases, and product enhancements.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, pricing recommendations, business plans, and executive reporting.
• Ensure compliance with SBP regulations, AML/CFT requirements, customer due diligence standards, and Shariah governance frameworks.
• Build and develop a high-performing Business Deposits & Transaction Banking team.

Experience Required

• Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in SME banking, business banking, deposits, transaction banking, cash management, payments, or related financial services.
• At least 5 years in senior management roles with accountability for business growth, product propositions, budgets, teams, and transaction banking delivery.
• Demonstrated success in growing business deposits, developing transaction solutions, managing implementations, and improving customer adoption.
• Strong knowledge of Pakistan’s banking environment, AML/CFT regulations, customer protection requirements, and Islamic banking principles.

Educational Background Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Commerce, Banking, or a related discipline.
• MBA, Master’s degree, or relevant professional banking/finance qualification preferred.
