Job Description:The Ocean Import Agent will oversee and manage the logistics of ocean imports, including shipment tracking, documentation, and client communication. This role is essential for coordinating the end-to-end process of ocean import shipments, ensuring timely and efficient delivery while meeting all compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:Track and trace shipments using CargoWise softwareCoordinate with clients, international colleagues, and various vendors, such as airlines, warehouses, and trucking companiesManage billing processes and audit vendor invoicesOrganize delivery of air imports and process necessary documentationApprove freight invoices and credit notes in alignment with agreementsEnsure compliance with customs and trade regulations and develop a strong understanding of client agreements
Qualifications:Experience: 1-3 years in freight forwarding; experience in ocean import logistics is highly preferredEducation: Open to various educational backgroundsSkills: Strong attention to detail, process-oriented, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentSoftware: 1+ years of experience with CargoWise is highly preferred
