Accounting Manager - Financial Reporting

Position SummaryThe Accounting Manager - Financial Reporting manages the preparation of accurate, timely financial statements and supporting schedules, and drives the financial close. Ensures balance sheet and general ledger activity is reconciled, supported, and ready for review.

Key Responsibilities• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial statements and supporting schedules• Manage the close process, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations• Perform flux and variance analysis and explain significant changes to leadership• Support WIP, work on hand, and cost-to-complete reporting in partnership with Project Accounting• Maintain general ledger structure, account mapping, and reporting integrity• Prepare audit schedules and coordinate responses to auditor requests• Follow the close calendar, templates, and procedures set by the Director of Accounting Operations, and maintain Financial Reporting checklists within that framework• Supervise, coach, and develop the Senior Accountant, using training standards from the Director of Accounting Operations xzbcwsv
Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred• 5+ years of accounting experience, including financial statement preparation and supervisory experience; self-directed and comfortable running the team day to day• Strong understanding of accrual accounting and month-end close• Construction industry experience preferred
